Seung Ah Paik

Opening December 2nd through Fall 2026

This summer the Rubells visited Seung Ah Paik’s (b. 1979, Seoul, South Korea; lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA) studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and commissioned four large-scale paintings for a solo exhibition at the museum. Inspired by traditional Korean painting techniques, Paik explores the connection between landscape and self-portraiture, using her body as a symbol of transformation and self-discovery.
